Whether you’re taking on your first HYROX or chasing a faster time, the right HYROX training plan or coaching makes the difference between hoping it goes well on race day and turning up genuinely ready. Perhaps one or more of these sounds like you:

How it works

In-Person

If you’re looking for in-person HYROX training in Farnborough, Hampshire, I can train you from my private studio. If you want, you can start with an initial taster session to see if the coaching style and environment are the right fit for you before committing to ongoing training.

Sessions take place in-person with me, working through HYROX movements including the SkiErg, wall balls, sandbag lunges, farmers carry, burpee broad jumps and running. Optionally, you can also receive personalised HYROX training plans delivered through my app so you can continue training in the gym or at home between our face-to-face sessions at no extra cost. This gives you extra structure, accountability, and support outside of your in-person training sessions if wanted.

I am close to junction 4a of the M3, so really close to Fleet as well as Farnborough.

Online

After an initial chat, clients complete a simple questionnaire to ensure I get an accurate picture of who you are, your goals and what will work best for you.

I then create a HYROX training plan for you, tailored to you, your lifestyle, your current experience and performance level. Your workouts and training plans are delivered via my intuitive and user-friendly app, which features clear instructions and video guides.

Training can be completed in the gym or at home. This is 100% personalised to you.

You’ll get WhatsApp support, regular one-to-one Zooms, and a dedicated coach in your corner to keep you consistent, motivated, and progressing week by week. You’ll get expert guidance to help you build strength, improve fitness, and feel proud of your HYROX performance. And if nutrition support is part of your plan, I’ll help you fuel your training without cutting out the meals you enjoy or compromising your social life.

Why Work With Me as an Official HYROX Performance Coach

I’m Simon Graham, an official HYROX Performance Coach, a qualified personal trainer and a Level 4 sports nutritionist. That official HYROX affiliation matters, because it means I’ve been trained and accredited to coach HYROX specifically, not just a personal trainer who’s added the word to an Instagram bio!

Outside of HYROX, I’ve also worked with dozens of runners, cyclists, triathletes and endurance athletes, including an Arctic Circle racer, ultra runners, and someone pursuing Summer Olympic qualification. I’m also an experienced endurance athlete myself.

That mix matters for HYROX more than almost any other event, because HYROX is where endurance and strength collide under fatigue. Coaching it well means understanding both worlds and how they meet on the course, which is exactly where my experience sits.

And I work with the full range of HYROX athletes. Right now I’m coaching a complete HYROX beginner whose main goal is simply to get round their first event feeling embarrassed, and at the same time an athlete chasing a HYROX Worlds qualifying time after missing out by just a few minutes at their last event. Wherever you sit on that spectrum, I can build the plan that gets you there.

When I started participating in sports events again just over a decade ago – before I studied and qualified as a coach – I was overweight and unfit (that’s my before and after below). I often finished near to last and regularly needed to walk. To improve, I had to strategically approach my training, nutrition, and weightlifting, all while managing a busy professional and personal life. This approach paid off, as I now consistently finish in the top 30% of my events and have even secured several top-3 finishes, including 1st place at my most recent event. It is these kinds of personal experiences I also bring to my HYROX coaching.

HYROX COACH & TRAINING FAQs

From personalised HYROX training plans to building your strength and conditioning, motivational support, accountability, being there when you need help or a cheerleader, dietary and race-day fuelling guidance, realistic goal setting, tracking progress and… providing some fun!

Absolutely. A lot of the people I work with are training for their first ever HYROX and have no idea where to start, so beginner plans are a big part of what I do. That said, I work with people of all levels, so whether you’re chasing a Worlds qualifying time, looking to improve on a previous race, or just want to get round your first event in one piece, I can build the right plan for you. Your training is built around your current fitness and experience, starting wherever you are, so you arrive at race day ready rather than overwhelmed.

Depending upon your coaching package, you will check-in with me daily or ad-hoc, sending accountability check-ins via WhatsApp text message. In addition, we will schedule one-to-one Zoom sessions as well.

There is no notice period and you can cancel anytime. You pay in advance for each month via Direct Debit for plans and HYROX coaching. In-person sessions you can pay-as-you-go.

If you are on the Complete Package, I will provide guidance on how much and what types of food to eat. There are a few different ways to approach this and we will agree the best approach for you. Nutrition advice will cover training days, rest days and race days.

100%! The process is about finding balance between your HYROX goals and everyday life.

You don’t necessarily need a gym membership. I’ll design your plan around the equipment you have access to, whether that’s a fully kitted gym, a home setup, or somewhere in between. That said, HYROX involves some specific stations and kit, so access to a gym with the right equipment can help for certain sessions, and I’ll guide you on what’s worth using and how to train the movements wherever you are. If you’d rather train in person, you can also work through the HYROX stations with me directly in my Farnborough studio.

My clients are spread out across the UK and beyond. I offer 100% online coaching but, if you’re local to me, in-person sessions can take place as well. You don’t have to see me in person for this to work. Online coaching is great because it allows for daily support and accountability, complete flexibility around your time, location and plans, and access to support across fitness, strength, nutrition, mindset and more. I’m based in Farnborough, Hampshire, close to junction 4a of the M3, so easy to reach from Fleet too.

Pricing options can be seen here. Online coaching is just £99 or £199 per month, stop anytime, no notice period. This is the same cost, or less, as seeing a PT in person just once per week, but you get my help, knowledge and support every single day. In-person sessions start from £40.

Yes. While HYROX is my main focus, the training carries across to other hybrid and functional fitness events, so I can coach you for those too. I’ve had clients take on similar challenges such as The Hybrid Games, and there’s no reason I couldn’t coach you for events like:

  • DEKA
  • Deadly Dozen

The fundamentals are the same, building the running, the strength, the stations and the pacing to bring your best on the day, so whichever hybrid event you’re aiming at, I can build your training around it.
