Weight gain coaching differs to working with just a personal trainer or dietician.

We can work together on your nutrition, what to eat and when, and exercises to help you build some muscle. Don’t worry though, this doesn’t mean you will get big and bulky! And, if you feel apprehensive about going to a gym or exercising in public, we can easily find ways to work around this as well.

So, I can help you with your diet, help you understand how different foods affect mood and activity, teach you how to better understand food labels, help with motivation and guide you through the challenges that may come up around friends and family.

It’s not just about the weight or muscle gain. I’ll also help you with time management, positive thinking, goal setting, and teach you how habits and behaviours can be adapted to encourage long-term healthy change.

I’ll act as your “sponsor” with regular coaching accountability check-ins. I’ll also be there to provide confidential support if and when the going gets tough.

Who am I & why work with me?

Hi, I’m Simon Graham. I am a Certified Personal Trainer, Strength and Conditioning, and Nutrition Coach. I have the right qualifications and experience but, unlike many coaches and personal trainers, I’ve also been there myself as well… I used to be really overweight BUT once I had lost the weight, I wanted to gain muscle but without gaining too much fat again. So, I have had my feet in both camps, so to speak!

I specialise in online weight coaching and personal training.

I’ve helped many people, but I’ve had my ups and downs though just like anyone else. So, no matter how you need me to help, I promise I will never judge you as there is a good chance I have been there myself as well at some point.

So, this – alongside my nutrition, fitness and personal training qualifications – means I can help you achieve your weight and muscle gain goals.

How it works

New clients complete an interview and questionnaires to ensure I get an accurate picture of who you are, your goals and what will work best for you.

I offer ongoing online coaching, focusing on both nutrition and exercise.

My clients are spread out across the UK and within Europe. 

I offer 100% online coaching but, if we live near each other, sometimes sessions can take place in person as well – but we don’t have to see each other in-person for this to work.

Ongoing online coaching includes daily accountability check-ins plus weekly Zoom support and review sessions. 

For online coaching, I use tools including Zoom and WhatsApp. I am based in Farnborough, Hampshire. 

Weight Gain Coaching FAQs

I am qualified to help with fitness training, muscle gain, nutrition and behavioural / habit change.

I am not a medical doctor or therapist though, so there maybe some instances where I won’t the right person for you.

I will always be honest though if I am right for you or not, and anything we discuss is always 100% confidential.

I offer free no-obligation Zoom consultations, so book one now to discuss this further if required.

When you gain weight you will put on some fat.

We would work together though to keep this under control and minimise it as as much is possible by focusing on what you eat and the exercises you do.

No.

You will gain some muscle but it should just add a little toning.

We are not looking to turn you into Arnold Schwarzenegger!

The exercises you will do are a tool to help control some of the fat gain you may otherwise experience.

After your initial review sessions, you will check-in with me daily – sending accountability check-ins via WhatsApp text message.

In addition, we will schedule weekly Zoom sessions as well.

There is no notice period and you can cancel anytime.

You pay in advance for each month via Direct Debit.

Weight gain coaching is a partnership and I am here to help you, not judge you.

At the start, and throughout the process, I will provide guidance on how much and what types of food to eat. There are a few different ways to approach this and we will agree the best approach for you.

You do not have to be a gym member and you can train at home (with workouts I will design for you) and outdoors walking and so on.

If you want to join a gym though, I can programme workouts for you that you can complete at your gym as well.

My clients are spread out across the UK and within Europe.

I offer 100% online coaching but, if we live near each other, a monthly in-person session can take place as well (in addition to daily WhatsApp check-ins and weekly Zooms) but we don’t have to see each other in-person for this to work.

I am based in Farnborough, Hampshire. 

You may need to invest in some bands or weights to use at home which can cost up to £30 at the start, but these are optional.

Yes. I coach both men and women.

My qualifications and experience, including a Level 3 Diploma in (GP/NHS) Exercise Referral, means I can work with people with the following medical conditions – helping them in relation to nutrition, exercise, energy levels, lifestyle changes, physical changes and how prescribed medication may need to be considered:

My qualifications and experience, including being a Certified Menopause Exercise Coach, means that I can help you.

Menopause can cause a number of changes around weight, mood, hot flushes, energy, cognitive function and brain fog, food cravings, where you store fat, joint pain and a whole host of other signs and symptoms. There are too many to list here and everyone is of course different.

What you have done in the past may now not work. You know what though, it’s a great opportunity for reinvention!
